One week ago, the damage was done. Progress has been made. Minnie can now lay on her side and she rests much better. The oozing hole on her shoulder is finally starting to heal and the bruising has gone from a blackish-purple to more of a reddish-purple. One baby step at a time.
I haven't taken the tape off her little leg yet because the adhesive holding her i.v. in was so strong it would have pulled her skin off with it. Since this is her good front leg, the vet decided just to cover it with the blue tape and let it be for the time being.
Minnie is still very swollen and obviously bruised, but she is improving a little every day. She now will put a little weight on her sore front foot when she walks two or three steps. Steve said she looks like a cartoon dog. You know what Wile E. Coyote looks when the dynamite blows him up? Takes off all his body fur and leaves his facial fur. Well, that's Frankendoggie, our little cartoon dog.

Poor Minnie! I'm ready for her to be fully recovered and fuzzy again.
That's the saddest ever! I'm glad she has a owner who loves her and spoils her! Please tell me the attacker's owner is paying the vet bills.
I'm really glad that her wounds are healing up. She's a tough cookie!
Oh, man - Ashlee and I laughed for a long time about that Grim Reaper showing up to trick-or-treat at your house. Ha ha! Glad he didn't get Minnie!

Man, she looks so beat up. I feel so sorry for her. Hopefully her recovering will be a fast one. Get better Minnie!
I actually took Ella's "Ariel" pic across the street from my house. We have some ponds and I just photoshopped the houses out! And she did LOVE her red hair.
Have I not commented on your blog before?? I'm sorry! You're one of the "blogs that I follow" but I can't figure out how to put that list on my main page. I'm still figuring out this blogging thing!! I feel SO BAD for Minnie. Bev told me all about it and it's awful. I hope she recovers soon!!
