Saturday, 1:15PM. The Place: Gallagher-Iba Arena, Stillwater, OK.
The Event: Jason's Graduation.
Steve and I left for Stillwater early so we could take the boy to lunch.
The Fam - My nephew Blake and Tyler, Steve and me, my sister Vickie and her husband Eric, and last but not least, Ashlee waiting for the festivities to begin.
Photos of the incredibly rude people who sat behind us and talked through the WHOLE graduation ceremony, even the National Anthem and despite many backward glances from all of us. YEESH! They continued to talk through the state song and the OSU alma mater. How rude! Everyone knows you stand and sing if you know the words or just stand quietly as a sign of respect for your country, state, and the graduating class of 2009. Were these people raised in a barn? And not wanting to assault only one of our senses, one of the multitudes of tots they had with them had a poopy diaper from the moment they sat down. Not an infant - a toddler. All moms know the difference between infant and toddler poo. Man!
happy to breathe fresh air!
"O-S-U!"
Teacher 'tude! Mrs. Osborn and Mrs. Winden
We met up with the Osborn's after graduation.
The Osborn clan-proud of their little Cowboy!
Good job, Jase.
It was a great day - Jason graduated with a B.S. in Finance, we packed up Tyler and brought him home for Christmas break, my sister found her ring that her husband gave her for getting her masters degree-she's a reading specialist (summa cum laude, y'all! She's way smart)-it had been missing for a couple of months-bounced under her kitchen cabinet and Eric had to use a jigsaw to get it. Woohoo! Oh, and a guy named Sam Bradford (quarterback for OU) won the Heisman! Doesn't get much better than that!
This is what my sister's ring looks like:

Glad you had a good day, proud of Jason and delighted "your sister Vickie" found her ring, know just how she felt when it was missing. Hmmm, sister Vickie is the smart one, I'm the funny one, you are?
(One of my favorite people in the world.)
Yay for Jason!!
Good job to Jason. Sounds like a great family gathering too, except for the stinky diaper you had to endure!!
Congrats Jason!
Congrats Jason!
How funny is it that you posted pics of the very rude people?!
I love it! And I can't believe they didn't take the hint from your glances back...all I can say is that's OSU fans for ya!
(sorry I couldn't help myself...ha)
Thanks for the tag! Sorry about the Jessica Simpson song blarring on my blog and piercing your delicate ears! ha ha! It think it is Nick's part that I like about the song : )
Congrats to Jason!
Congrats to Jason. I know he's glad to have that behind him. Glad it went well, despite chatty ignorants and poopy diapers. :)
Those people were so annoying. I still can't get over their extreme rudeness. Why people insist on bringing screaming, poopy children to important events, I will never understand.
I am SO proud of Jason for working so hard. He earned his degree.
I am SO happy Aunt Vickie found her ring. What a relief.
