I like to cook so when I have the opportunity to make something for somebody recovering from surgery, all the better. That's what I did yesterday afternoon (bruschetta chicken, marinated vegetable kabobs, fresh veggies with dip, fresh pineapple and caramel brownies) and I had The Boy deliver it for me, as I was still working on our dinner. Boy is so nice.
Before he got home, my phone rang. When I answered, recovering-from-surgery lady says: "Will you marry me?"
Now that's funny and it made me feel good about the dinner I sent to her.
I was trying to help her out, but in the end she was the one who was a day brightener.

That reminds me...a looong time ago, the College & Career class had an afterglow at your place, and you made a chicken dish that I still to this day think about...what was it?? It was creamy (and cream-colored) with chunks of chicken.... Does that ring a bell?
Sounds yummy! Would you ever share recipes with those that aren't as fortunate in the kitchen? I am a horrible cook - mostly because I get stuck in a rut! Next time I'm recovering from surgery I'll make sure to give you a call!
