Raise the roof!

Imagine my surprise when this little sign appeared in our yard yesterday. Could it mean we were actually getting a new roof? We've had a leak since the end of April. Due to the ice storm damage, it took this long to find a roofer. Really!

Well, at 6:30AM, yes, 6:30AM, the roofers arrived and around 7:00AM, they began the demo of our old roof.

Goodbye old roof! Oh, by the way, it sounds like you have a team of clydesdale horses on your roof.

This is Tyler - the initial stomping/pounding woke him up. He went downstairs to the living room. Snoozarama. My kids could sleep through a tornado, wake up, look around, roll over, and go back to sleep.

This is the backyard patio roof as viewed from the family room upstairs. Don't you feel sorry for workers who have to be out in this heat?

Yay for you but poor guys! This heat is horrible!! I wish my kids were heavy sleepers. They always end up in bed with us when it is storming outside...

Yes, I do feel so sorry for workers in this horrible HEAT! YUCK! I remember the days when I could sleep through anything, that was before marriage and definately before kids! Congrats on finding a roofer, hope things work out for you!

My kids are the same way, they sleep through anything, esp. Jordan!

Well, I was a teenager in the mid-late '70s, so that is my favorite music era. Give me a pop song from the '60s-80's and I'm pretty happy.
