It's in the bag.
Katie's blog inspired me to rave about space bags. They appeal to my ziploc baggie fetish, but that's another story. This is a photo of my upstairs linen/game closet. I have three enormous space bags that are full of comforters and blankets. I love them because you can stick a dryer fabric softener sheet in with them and when you take out your blankets they smell great. Also, they keep all of your bedding safe from the dreaded brown recluse spider that loves Oklahoma closets. These bags hold at least two comforters and a blanket. They are also great for extra pillows. They really squeeze all the air out of them but they just pop back up. Love them. Helpful hint: If you vacuum out most of the air in the bag, then either sit or step on them, and vacuum some more, it helps flatten everything out and they stack better.Notice the Beauty and the Beast comforter? It's in the bottom bag. That thing is old, but I still use it when I have company.
Here's my new favorite Space Bag storage bag: A zippered canvas storage bin with attached bag. I bought it at Walmart. It holds all of Tyler's college bedding and towels and washcloths.
This is all twin size stuff, but it's still a lot. Here's the list: comforter, blanket, two sheet sets and pillowcases, a body pillow with velour case, mattress pad, four fluffy towels, 24 washcloths, and a tempurpedic mattress topper. Now that's a lot of stuff! So cool. How do you save space? Please don't say get rid of stuff - I'm a pack rat!
Get the song? Space bags, space man Major Tom. . .
