Indian Giver (Shoes, Indian Shoe Giver)

What happens when your friends go on vacation to a place filled with Smoky Mountain treasures? Well, they bring you:

(Sing this sentence to the tune of "Shiny Little Surrey With the Fringe on the Top" from Oklahoma) Shiny little sandals with the fringe on the top!I can't be sure if they were bought as a joke or not, but who cares? I had contemplated buying some Jessica Simpson sandals that were similar, so I am thrilled and will enjoy wearing these fun shoes. I am, however, worried about how much Steve will love these shoes. The wearing of his knee high moccasins (yes, don't even go there) and these sandals has already been a topic of conversation. Gack.

Oh, and pumpkin butter? Woohoo! Bring on the fall, y'all.
Also, I have begun a new blog for my Sunday School class. Here's the link: http://exploringfunatfriendshipbaptist-owass.blogspot.com

I believe it is "Native American" giver. Oh wait, I think they changed it again. "First American" giver. Or something.

I like them! Very cute sandals. I have some apple butter stashed in my fridge. Mmmm!! I've never had pumpkin butter. It sounds tasty!

Never tried pumpkin butter but it sounds good.
You definitely need to post a pic of you and Steve in your shoes, lol.

Wow. I wish I wouldn't have read the part about the moccasins. TMI and pleh!

Moving on: the sandals are cute. They are totally Jessica Simpson brand-esque (all that's missing is a 5 inch platform heel).

A note about your sidebar:
-I wonder if your color choices for your office took a subconscious cue of inspiration from the David Smith piece.
-"Minnie's" quote makes me laugh every time I read it.
-The picture of Preston makes my heart melt.

I just knew you would love Sadie's new shoes - and I'm sure she would love yours too! All that fun fringe! Enjoy wearing them before it gets cold!

I have to laugh at your song choice... my dad would be thrilled to hear Paul Revere and the Raiders blaring from my computer. It's been a long time.

I tried really hard to stop her from buying those shoes for you, you know I did, I really, really did. Hope you do enjoy them. We had quite a bit of fun at your expense, too bad you weren't there to enjoy it with us.
