The View From My Lap

Ashlee and Jason had tickets for "Legally Blonde" so I got to keep the granddog. This is what I saw most of the night:Crazy, needy dog. At least I didn't have to worry about getting cold. My own personal 80 pound lap dog. Good boy.

I'm realizing that dogs are quite useless, especially when it comes to being chilly outside. This morning, all three of ours got up into bed with us and snuggled ALL the way to the bottom of the bed UNDER the covers. Geesh. Wimps. ;)

Preston's whole reason to exist is to be the center of attention and we aim to please.
Useless? Your dogs were trying to be footwarmers. A thankless job, but somebody has to do it. :)

I love that dog. I remember the first time he crawled into my lap. I was sitting in Ashlee's chair in her front room which is not big enough for him in the first place. He first put his head on my lap, then paws, then half the body. Before I knew it he was in my lap and very comfortable. It was the funniest and sweetest thing. It is hard not to love it.

That's true, they were simply trying to help keep my tootsies warm during these cold wintery days. I should probably give them a 'chewie' as a thank you for doing such a good job. ;)
