This is what my bathroom when we moved in. Lived with it for 10 ugly years, until the tile started to separate from the wall in the shower. We enlisted the help of an interior design company called "I 4 Design". Two very nice women who took our horrible bathroom to a beautiful bathroom.
I think this bathroom was out of date when they built the house - notice the lovely shirred window covering?
This is my gigantic old Jacuzzi. Took forever to fill it up and it didn't hold the heat very well. It needed to be deeper and narrower.
This is the toilet area - covered in ivy wallpaper. Yuck!
Let the renovation begin! Thanks, Nate! Like Casey's dad, Nate is a great plumber.
Down to the studs. We couldn't change where the shower and tub went without changing the structure of the house, so the size stayed the same. My bathroom actually had carpeting - ugh! I even think this is an improvement, cosmetically speaking. We had to move upstairs so we would have a bathroom with running water.
The decking for my new Jetta tub. Woo hoo!
My new marble countertop and sink. Love this marble. It is so pretty.
New cabinetry getting painted. It is a creamy ivory color that they antiqued with a rich brown when they were installed. Love them.
New shower tiles - tumbled marble and a brand new tall cabinet we didn't have before. Look at all that storage.
The gorgeous painting I commissioned from the best artist I know, Ashlee Osborn.
My mirror was silver leafed and antiqued by a painter who specializes in faux finishes. It matches the finish on my sconce, which is one of my favorite things in this bathroom. I also love that my painting is reflected in the mirror.
New window coverings and shades.
Accessories are the jewelry of any room. I love these.

TYLER'S BATHROOM REDO

This door led to the family room. Didn't like it because it made it hard to place furniture in family room. We decided to close this door off and make Tyler's room more like a suite (bedroom and connecting bathroom).
After removing one layer of ugly wallpaper, the painters found an even uglier pattern!
Tyler's new vanity before it was stained. My carpenter was very good. These cabinets are as smooth as silk.
Drywall covering the old doorway.
Tyler's vanity area. Don't you love the cool mirror? I think it's very masculine. The paint color is several shades darker than this picture. The flash washed it out. The rug was the inspiration piece in this room. The designers found it and based everything off of it. I love it.
Tyler has black granite with a brownish-coppery fleck in it. It is very cool.
I love the stain color on his cabinets. It is so rich and masculine. Perfect for an almost grown up son.
Tyler's shower is ultracool. There is no frame on the sliding glass doors, only the top frame which is very contemporary. He really loves this shower. We took out the old fiberglass tub/shower combo. The wall color is actually close to the color of this shower tile.
Yet another painting commissioned from my extremely talented painter/daughter. I actually chose the frame. You can't see it in this pic, but there is a very small Stevie Wonder face in one of the circles toward the bottom. Tyler had requested a painting of Stevie Wonder several months before because he was into his old music. Ashlee didn't tell him it was in the painting, but I noticed it right away. Too funny. You can't really see the texture on this painting, but it is very cool. The paint color for our family room and Tyler's bathroom is about the color in this photo. I love it.

Oh wow Pam! What a difference!
I love it! I bet you just go in there every hour or so just to look at it.
LOVE it! I think maybe our houses were built/decorated at the same time - we could totally use bathroom makeovers, not to mention the kitchen - it will come with time. I bet you are just lovin' it!!!
Your bathrooms are AMAZING!! Way cool and up to date, I think I would be spending alot of time in there! Really and seriously gorgeous! I am sure it was worth all the time and headaches!
yeah!!! looks great! looks like it was worth the wait!! I love tyler's bathroom rug...too cool.
What a huge difference! I'm glad you got your bathrooms finished the way you like them. I love everything about them, especially the way the window coverings go up and down so smoothly. And, I love that the tiles go all the way to the ceiling.
Nice redos!! They look great! I'm glad you took so many pictures!
Thanks for the shout-out. Every day, Nate would come home from work and say, "Man, that Pam, she is so nice. She likes to listen to classic rock, gives us desserts, and doesn't care if we accidentally track in dirt on her carpet. She's like the best customer ever!"
