The good news is I survived the dreaded day and still have a room full of giggly, silly 4-6 year olds I get to see every Sunday morning. The big question is: "I wonder if I'm ever going to grow up?"

Promotion Sunday
It's a day I fear and dread. Promotion Sunday. I have to give up all the kids who will enter first grade. Since the kids come into my class when they turn four and don't leave until first grade, I usually have them three years. That's a long time and I get so attached to them. This will be the first time in a very long time that I won't have a member of Maddisen's family in my class. She has two older siblings that were in my class also. Wish her mom would have had at least one or two more kids. It would have been the polite thing to do! I love Maddisen and have begged her to be four again. Unfortunately, she can't do that! Here's some pictures of that cutie.
Oh, and why doesn't anyone tell you that you look horrible with no bangs? Good grief! I was horrified when I actually saw how bad my hair looked! My reflection did not look like this at home! On the other hand, don't you love Maddisen's cute hair?
This is Megan. I can't believe how many girls I have had in my class lately. I love her cute little smile. What a sweetie pie.
These girls were the only two who were in Sunday School on promotion day. I actually lost several more kids (only one boy). I will miss them all, but it's time for them to move on. Maddisen, Megan, Macey, Allene, Jesse (hope I didn't forget anyone), you're all great!

Oh my gosh, Pam. Your hair looks good with or without bangs. I think it looks fine in the picture. Maybe you're just not used to it, and you'll have to learn to get used to it. I'm getting used to having layers in my hair.
We're always so hard on ourselves! You look great. Your girls are cuties, too! Promotion Sunday is always bittersweet. You're lucky, though, because most teachers don't get the kids for 3 years!
I agree, you always look great! I loved reading this post, it was soooo sweet. I dread the time when Lily has to leave your class she is sooooo in LOVE with you. She has 2 more years- so YEA!
