What goes around, comes around
I bought these lamps for Ashlee and Jason before they were married, hoping she wouldn't like them so I could have them. Not really. Well, I really liked them! They looked nice in her living room, but she was tired of them, so hooray! I get to have them and they look great up in our family room. Thanks, Ash! Notice the ever-present dog on the sofa. Opie is my fuzzy little white shadow.
Two other things she was tired of having in her living room: original artwork by my favorite artist, the incredible Ashlee Baskins (I know she's an "Osborn" now, but she was "Baskins" when she painted these). I had the reddish-purple colored leaf hanging in my house before she got married and she took it for her house - Rats! I'm glad she was tired of having them because I love them. I might even like the yellow leaf more than the red.

They look great above the fireplace in the family room. I'm glad I have an artist in the family. Original artwork is definitely better than the print I had up before. Makes me happy to have her work in the house. Lucky me! Can't wait to see what she gets tired of next - she has a lot of good stuff. I call "first dibs"!

Ashlee is soooo very talented! You "really are" lucky to have such and artist in the family! The leaf artwork is just beautiful! I still want to come and see all of your home (bathroom) renovations in person!
Aww, man! I want some of Ashlee's paintings! She has way too much talent. She needs to share it! I could use a little artistic talent over here. Glad you got the paintings though. I've always liked those leaf paintings.
She is talented I can't wait to hire her to paint me some paintings for my bathroom. If it will every get done.
Love the leaf paintings and the lamps.
I love that you're so loud & proud about your daughter:) Those leaves & lamps are cool--not often ppl have such cool 'hand-me-downs'! AND, def. rent 'You've Got Mail'...very cute, esp. if you like romantic comedies & even if you don't like Meg...
