Hangin' With the G-Dog
So, are you wondering what a 46 year old does on a Friday night when her husband has an overnight fishing tournament, her son is at college and her daughter has been married for two years? Well, if you're me, you hang with your g-dog and your regular dogs. Ashlee was having some girls over to scrapbook and the last thing you really need around all that cutting and pasting is a 76 pound goldie, so I volunteered to keep Preston at my house. We had a great time, except he was looking for "the boy". That's what Preston calls Tyler. I think he misses him, so I had to play pretty hard with the g-dog. I know this looks like a post that Ashlee would have, but I have to confess, I love this goofy dog almost as much as she does. You can tell by the look on Opie and Minnie's faces that they wish Preston would mind his own business and stay at home!

Make the big dog go home, now! Will ya, huh, huh? Am I still your favorite? I really don't like the big yellow dog.

Preston and me laying down on the floor after we had been playing. Whew! Were we tired!

Preston looking down at me while I was still on the floor. I was exhausted - he was ready to play some more. It's kind of scary to have him standing over you - he looks really big! Good thing he's so sweet, he just stood there and grinned.
G-Ma, am I your favorite? Look how cute I am!

Man, I'm bored! Let's play!

Whee! I love going to G-Ma's! She's one of my favorite people! I'm getting ready to go wild!
Preston finally got tired. Then he didn't want to be messed with. Look at that face! Get that camera away from me! What an expressive face!
Even though the song playing is "How Much is That Doggie in the Window?" by Oklahoma's own Patti Page, I would never advocate buying pets through a pet store or a back yard breeder. They are almost always puppy mill dogs. Don't shop, adopt! If you want to have a certain breed, contact a rescue organization or a VERY reputable breeder. Contact the AKC for breeder info. Whew, now that I eased my conscience, I just put the song on because the only other song I could think of was "Who Let the Dogs Out?" and Patti Page is a little more soothing. Anybody else know of a cute dog song? Let me know.

Awww. I am glad Preston got to play with you and your furry kids at your house on Friday. The whole time I was over there Friday, I kept thinking, "I sure wish Preston was here." He's so cute and such a lovable guy. Your poor dogs look a little fed up with the golden boy.
I love the last picture of Preston to cute! I wish my Mom loved my g-dogs as much as you love yours!
Cute pictures! That's one thing I gotta do when I come home next--meet Preston. Cute rendition of the song too...I much prefer it to your other choice.
He is a beautiful dog. Love the pics!
Preston has to be the most spoiled dog in the world. Poor Opie and Minnie; I know they hate when he comes over. He is such a big, rotten dog. I have created a monster (a cute monster).
