Friday night the mighty, mighty, Redskins rolled into Owasso, ready for some basketball action.
Normally I would say, "Who cares?" but my niece is a cheerleader for Union.
Enough said. I was so there.
Here's my beautiful niece in cheer mode:

I always tease her when I watch her cheer. I'll tell her to get out on the floor and show me some tumbling. Give me a reason to be there. She never disappoints. I love this action shot. She looks like she's balancing the ref on her abdomen. Man, she's strong!

I've decided I must be a little ADD because I am easily distracted by my surroundings and tend to lose focus. I embarrass my family because I will take photos of random people if they interest me, irritate me, make me laugh, etc. While the cheerleaders were taking a break, I noticed Amy Winehouse had entered the building. "They tried to make me go to rehab. I said no, no, no ." If you aren't up to date on pop culture, you won't realize how funny the next photo is. It's all about the giant, quasi-beehive hairdo.

Also, Channel 8's Gerry Giordano was at the game. I don't know why he was there so early, but clearly he was bored out of his mind. I took quite a few photos of him because his boredom and lack of hiding it was hilarious to me. Trust me, this wasn't even the worst photo of the poor guy. Definitely won't win over any Redskins fans. He also looked like he might be ill. Should probably cut him some slack. I'll move along.
The Lady Redskins pulled off a win in the last few seconds of their game and the boys also won their game, but I couldn't even tell you the score. It was really all about the cheerleaders. I guess I should say cheerleader. My niece is the baby on my side of the family and I love spending time with her. She's beautiful on the outside, but inside, she's stunning. She's a super smart, sweet, kind, sensitive girl and I am so glad I get to be her Aunt Pam. Yay, Chloe!
