Her Royal Highness

Presenting one of only two juniors chosen to be members of the Royal Court at Union High School, my niece, Princess Chloe!
This is a super big deal. I hope I have the facts right. You have to be nominated by a teacher and it involves many things: grades, extracurricular activities, etc. and you are then voted on by the students.
Unfortunately, Chloe didn't get to choose her dress. A sponsor chose the pattern and they had to have it made. It's not the best dress, but Chloe makes almost anything look great. She's rockin' that hair! Love it.
Of course, if anybody would have checked with me, they could have saved a lot of trouble. I've always known she had royal blood coursing through her veins. I've said it before, I'll say it again, she's beautiful outside, but inside she's gorgeous. She's smart, pretty, sweet, wonderful, a great role model. We are so proud that she was honored by her peers. You have to love a school that recognizes greatness when they see it. How lucky am I that I get to be her Aunt Pam? Can you tell I love her?

The proud parents: my sister and brother-in-law with Chloe

These are photos from Chloe and Tyler's birthday back in July and my sister just gave them to me tonight. Their birthdays are only two days apart, with Tyler being two years older. Here's Chloe driving Uncle Steve's truck. He's a pushover when it comes to Chloe. Here's the birthday boy and girl getting a serenaded at Texas Road House on 71st Street. And yes, we made them squish together. Happy 19th and 17th birthday!

Showing some birthday love. They are both so cute!

Is anybody else having trouble with making new lines and paragraphs on blogger? I couldn't get my spacing right on this post, so sorry about that run-on paragraph at the beginning.

You do have a beautiful niece! And you and your sister look a lot alike! Wow! That's funny how she had to wear a particular dress...not much fun, but what an honor to be nominated - sounds like she's got a great reputation and probably great character!

Shannon, Chloe does have great character and she is just fun to be around. She's my second favorite girl, right behind Ashlee.

I've had issues with paragraphs and spacing before, too. Craziness.

Yay for Chloe!! She totally rocks that dress. Even if she didn't get to choose it. :)

Congrats to Chloe on being nominated! What an honor. She looks lovely in her gown. I think it's flattering.

And yes, I have lots of trouble with the formatting on my blog too.

The dress isn't so bad; it actually reminds of something Angelina Jolie would wear. Chloe could wear anything and still look cute. If everyone could meet Chloe, the world would be better. She is one of the best people I know.

Oh, I also meant to say that I love the birthday pics, too. The one of Chloe and Tyler on the saddle at Texas Roadhouse is adorable. And, the one with Chloe and Dad in the truck is cute, too.

Thanks again for watching Caleb and for listening to my frustration today!! And, thanks for calling to check in. The little rock star slept for THREE HOURS this afternoon--I knew he needed his sleep! I actually woke him up at 5:30 so I could feed him before we went to Randy and Bev's. Phew!

And I know what you mean about feeling like the air is sucked out of the house when Caleb is gone. That's such a perfect description. Whenever we leave Caleb with Randy and Bev, my eyes well up with tears. It's so awesome and great and HARD, too. :) It's just not the same without him!
