It's amazing what can happen when you just get up and determine that you are out of the house. Today was a very good day. Tuesday is Bible Study day and we are studying the book of Luke. Good stuff. Go out to lunch and then shopping for a birthday present for one of my favorite people. Went shopping with another favorite person. Good times. She FORCED me to go to Dillard's shoe sale. Found some cute ankle boots and some heels I liked a lot. Talked myself out of buying them. I really don't need new shoes. Went to a couple stores and were on our way out.
Good Friend (GF): "Where's your jacket?"
Me: "Oh, man! I left it at Dillard's!"
GF: "You go back to Dillard's. I'll get the car, circle around and pick you up at the door by the shoes."
Me: "Okay!"
Walk fast, fast, fast, out of my way - have to get my jacket (first time I had worn it).
Back to Dillard's and there it was....under the same boots and shoes I had talked myself out of purchasing. It was definitely a sign from God that I NEEDED those shoes! Okay, if there isn't a line at the register, I'll get them. Otherwise, forget it. Waltzed right up to the counter and bought those shoes. God is good.
Came home and played with the dogs for a few minutes. Then, yay!
Caleb came over and hung out with me while his momma took some photos for a friend. It was fun.
Then, wonderful man that he is, Steve calls and says "Let's meet the bro and fam at Logan's for dinner." Okay, then!
Caleb and his parents, uncle, grandparents and a friend went to Logan's. What fun.
Then, aahhhh. Wonderful thunderstorm. Love them.
A very good day indeed.
Here's Caleb hanging out on Tyler's bed. Isn't he wonderful? The sock monkey sheets are a joke. When he was two or three, Tyler was given homemade sock monkeys at Christmas by both of his great grandmas. He was afraid of the sock monkeys when it got dark. Who can blame him? Everyone knows stuffed animals come to life at night!
Look at that drool on his chin. What a cutie!
Don't you love a 70% off sale?!

It was definately a sign that you needed those shoes, I'm glad you were able to get them! I LOVE Tyler's sheets, how cool are they!! And little Caleb is adorable, I love the last pic of him when you have his cheeks smushed together-priceless!!!!!
Hmph...you had a fun day, good. I guess you deserve it. ;) Go to my blog and read my passive aggressive "Mom Says" sidebar.
I love this!! The pudgy cheeks are adorable!! Thanks again for watching him. Little stinker!!
Aw that's a good day! Glad you got the shoes and found your coat.
Caleb is so handome love that last picture to cute!
Update on Jeff doing good really sore though. He had it lap. but one cut is where a woman has a csection and that one is real sore. Thanks for asking.
Oh man...AWESOME shoe purchases!!
I must say, those ankle boots absolutely scream "Pam Baskins". They are lovely and chic.
Sock monkeys... I had them too when I was growing up, and like Tyler, was a little "uncomfortable" with them at nighttime.
Caleb... cutest drool machine. Ever.
:)
I just love how you know God's hand is at work when it comes to fabulous shoes!;) You did have a great day. Bible study, shopping, cute baby and home during storms, what more could you ask for!
I love the superstars on the sidebar and the one with the pudgy cheeks. Caleb doesn't seem to mind the sock monkeys, he must be braver than Tyler.
Woah, cute shoe alert! Oh, and cute Caleb alert, too...! ;)
Blog stalk all you want! Yes, it is probably a good thing since you will be my babysitter someday soon (hopefully!), so stalk away! ;)
I am not a big fan of the ankle boot, but those are pretty cute and "you." I like the heels; the platform and peep toe of the shoe remind me of the Jessica Simpson brand shoes. Cute.
Any day that involves new shoes, is a good day. Especially if it's two pair at 70% off!
What a great day!! Love the shoes and the cute little pics of Caleb.
