What I like about shoes

My birthday is fast approaching, so my mom took me shopping and out to lunch yesterday. Here's my stuff:
That's right, TWO pairs of sandals(I left the white cardboard support on the black sandal-otherwise you couldn't see how cute they were) and a dress, a maxi-dress. I know, I know. I'm way too old to be jumping on the long dress trend, but don't care. I like this dress, so judge if you must. As far as midlife crises (I think that is the plural for "crisis") go, loving shoes and having one maxi-dress is pretty mild. Thanks for the birthday presents and lunch at Ted's, Mom!

How fun to spend the day with your mom and go shopping!! I love the long dresses, but I think I would trip right over the material, because I am sooooooo tall!!! :)

Love the shoes AND the dress! And sheesh, you're not too old to wear maxi dresses. Good grief. You're young and spunky!

And I saw you in my neighborhood yesterday! I was pulling into our neighborhood as you were pulling out and I waved like a frantic lunatic, but I don't think you saw me. :)

Cute cute! Why are they called maxi dresses? That's a very new term to my vocabulary...

In the '70s you had mini dresses and the to the ankle maxi dresses. I think Target even calls them maxi dresses in their advertising. Don't you love learning about such important things? :)
I'm a walking encyclopedia of useless information.
And, yes Katie, I was in your neighborhood yesterday. I was just going to drop off some clothes for sweet baby.

Okay, I think you have taken my reaction to the maxi dress a little out of context. I love the shoes. What I said about the dress is that it does not look like something you would have picked out for yourself. I never said that it will look bad, or that you are too old for it. Yeesh.

I am too short for the maxi dress, as well, Annie.

Now that I cleared that up, Happy Friggin'Birthday! Gosh, you're old. ;)
