Wedding Shower Blues...

And browns, and whites! What a great shower for the future Mrs. Cody Thomas, aka Jordan Brock. If you weren't there, you missed a great time, great food, great fun. To those of you who came, your presence was appreciated more than we can say.
Thanks for making this great sign, Ashlee.
How awesome is this cake table? Yep, we made the table. Cake by Merritt's. It was oh, so fabulous. Hard to slice, but so yummy. Everyone knows I'm a cake snob - buttercream, baby. Walmart and Reasors also have fine buttercream frosting, so it's not the place I'm snobby about, just the frosting-no whipped frosting for me!
Party favor - blue, brown & white M&Ms were inside.
Don't you love the wrapping paper I used?Warning: the following photos will make you hungry. Just a small sampling of the food we had.Marilyn made a good lookin' quiche. And really, can you actually call it a shower without Mocha Punch? The answer is NO! This stuff is crack to a chocoholic. The cute couple - Cody came in at the close of the shower to help load all the presents. Gotta love a girl who wears red high heels. Love the shoes, Jordan.
Ashlee cleaning up after the shower. What a good daughter. She totally rocks when it comes to helping setting up, working the shower, and cleaning up. She's makes a mom proud. A partial view of the shower aftermath. My goodness! How in the world did we make such a mess? Oh, I know. That's what happens when lots of love goes into the prep. We just had a lot of stuff. Our first goal was to let the mother of the groom know how much we love and care for her, followed by pleasing the bride-to-be and her family and all other shower attendees, then we had to please ourselves (this might have been the hardest part). I think we met and/or exceeded our goals. Our only disappointment: low attendance by our church family.
The following photo has nothing to do with Jordan's shower. I found the photo of Kayli and Robert the baby doll that Noelle had blogged about a couple of weeks ago. For your viewing pleasure, here's Kayli and Robert taking a nap on my sofa. How cute is that?

You did a great job on the shower, I think it was the best ever, Oh, did I hear that somewhere? Seriously, you put your all into everything you do and it turned out great. Glad I got to help a bit.

That was a great shower! Cake was pretty, food was great (and there was a ton to choose from), decorations looked incredible, hostesses did an outstanding job. Anyone who wasn't there missed out; more mocha punch for me.
