Happy Birthday

May 11th, 1983 - one of the best days of my life. It was the day, night actually, my sweet, beautiful baby girl entered this world on her Great-Grandma Grace's birthday.
Happy 26th birthday, Ashlee Grace Osborn(FYI-her Papa's middle name is Lee, so that's why she's "Ashlee" and not "Ashley")
This is gorgeous three day old Ashlee getting ready to go home. That's the nurse that helped get her all set to leave the hospital.First day home, sleeping in her little cradle. Ashlee's first Christmas at Nanny and Papa's house - can you tell she's the first grandchild on my side of the family? That toy box was full and that was only part of her presents. Not much has changed. :) Here she is, getting a zoo member pass from her Nanny and Papa for her 26th birthday. I'm a little jealous of the peacock print scarf.Poky Little Puppy card. When she was little, she made us read this book so often, we took it (and Saggy Baggy Elephant) over to her Nanny and Papa's house so they could have the pleasure of reading it to her.Having a daughter like Ashlee is a very good thing. She calls every day, is in charge of purchasing most of my presents that are from Steve(I always get cool stuff), she married the best guy, adopted the most wonderful golden granddog. She makes me laugh. She's bossy, opinionated, outrageous, terrific, sweet, thoughtful, loyal, creative, beautiful, the list could go on and on. Here's to a great 26th year of life.

What a sweet tribute! That scarf is awesome, too! Also, is it just me, or did the nurse in that picture have a really bad spray-on tan??

No, she was native American so she was dark skinned, but c'mon, I didn't even have a 35mm back then. It was just point, shoot and hope for the best so the color is a little faded.

Aw, thanks Mom! Thanks to all the bloggers for all the birthday wishes, too. I'm having a great day.

The nurse looks so much like Grandma Holt, it's unreal.

The Disney birthday song is going to be stuck in my head all week.
